In September 2010 the Wommusic label will release an all new album featuring Kurt Rosenwinkel & Orchestra de Jazz de Matosinhos (OJM). It features all-new arrangements of some of Kurt Rosenwinkel's most classic compositions such as "Zhivago", "Turns", "Use of Light" and others.

The project was initiated by OJM contacting Kurt Rosenwinkel back in 2007, asking if he'd be interested in them arranging his songs for some concerts in Portugal. A previous album that OJM had made with Chris Cheek impressed, so Kurt gladly accepted, and in the fall of 2008 he performed 2 concerts with OJM in Porto & Oeiras in Portugal.

It became clear during these performances that it would be great to enable more fans to hear the music by releasing it as an album, and subsequently the album was recorded in September 2009. It is scheduled for release in September 2010. Arrangements are by Pedro Guedes, Carlos Azevedo and Ohad Talmor.

Several live performances are scheduled around the time of the release. So far the dates are these:

September 4: Lisbon Festival
September 8-12: Iridium Jazz Club, New York City
September 15: Beantown Jazz Festival/Berklee Performance Center, Boston, MA.
October 3: Casa de Musica, Porto, Portugal.
